Community leaders from Ouachita, Calhoun, and Union Counties gathered yesterday at the Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover to examine the early childhood landscape of our communities. Geania DIckey with dot2dot Consulting and Leigh Keener with the Arkansas State Board of Education represented as a panel of experts to provide current updates and to answer questions related to expanding quality access for families and funding needs to support access. Thank you to our businesses and industries, higher education, school leaders, and non-profits for your interest in providing quality care and education for our youngest of learners. Katie Robertson, SCSC CTE Coordinator is completing a week with the National Army Educator Tour at Fort Stewart in Savannah, Georgia. She represented Arkansas in the fifth recruiting brigade and had the opportunity to learn about new technology, the 150 plus job skill sets the Army provides, career readiness, participated in field trauma exercises, and met the Commanding General.
