Today we wrap up our SCSC Data Duel for March Madness with our winners for science.
For our final winner we used the movement of all students in all levels between the fall and winter interims. We took the percentages and reported them in points. Movement of students in all levels is so important for the achievement calculation and also the growth calculation in the accountability score.

Disclaimer: The March Madness Data Duel provides a broad overview of the percentage of students who demonstrated growth by moving from Level 1 to Levels 2, 3, and 4 between interim assessments. It is important to note that the number of students assessed varied across testing windows, which may impact overall percentages and comparisons.

This data is intended for informational and celebratory purposes only and should not be used to determine or influence a district’s official accountability rating. The goal of the Data Duel is to recognize and highlight the hard work schools are doing to support student growth—while also embracing a bit of March fun and friendly competition.

Final Winner-Data Duel ELA
Our science specialist, Renee' Bearden is so proud of the work being done in Science. We see big improvement in science in all levels. If there was a tie in this first round then we looked at the number of students in level two. The district with the most moved to level two advanced.

Winner of Math Bracket-Data Duel
The Math Bracket is advancing like the Arkansas Razorbacks. See where we are. In the second portion of the bracket we looked at the Achievement area (level 3 and level 4). In the event of a tie we are using the total number of level 4s. If there is still a tie then we chose to look at the total score of movement of students in all areas.
