Local providers smile for a photo during their last session of Strengthening Families. The evening training events were provided by the University of Arkansas ECEP program. Thank you to our local providers for participating and to training facilitator, PJ Yarbrough.
Strengthening Families is a 21-hour training that focuses on engaging families and communities in building the five key Protective Factors of the Strengthening Families framework. The lessons provide valuable insight into parental resilience, knowledge of parenting, offering support in times of need, children’s social and emotional competence, and helping families build positive social connections.

We need your voice! Please don't miss this unique opportunity to visit with Assistant Commissioner, Tonya Williams with the Arkansas Department of Education's Office of Early Childhood. Community leaders from Ouachita, Calhoun, and Union Counties gathered yesterday at the Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover to examine the early childhood landscape of our communities. Geania DIckey with dot2dot Consulting and Leigh Keener with the Arkansas State Board of Education represented as a panel of experts to provide current updates and to answer questions related to expanding quality access for families and funding needs to support access. Thank you to our businesses and industries, higher education, school leaders, and non-profits for your interest in providing quality care and education for our youngest of learners.
