South Central Service Cooperative will host a "Become An Educator Event" on January 20, 2024. Three organizations have joined with SCSC to make this event happen. We will showcase three area educators who will discuss their non-tradition pathway to licensure.
Businesses ESS, Reach University, and The New Teacher Project (TNTP) will be on hand to provide breakout sessions with any individual who wants to learn more about becoming a substitute teacher for our eleven districts. Reach University will be presenting ways for Paraprofessionals in our schools can complete a four-year degree and become licensed teachers. TNTP will be on hand to help those individuals who have a degree in other areas but want to become licensed teachers.
The event will be held at 2235 California Avenue SW in Camden from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. A lunch will be provided. Please register by emailing brigitte.haney@scscoop.org or scan the QR code in the image above.
