Angie Gilbert, Recruitment & Retention Facilitator
Office of Novice Teacher Support
South Central Service Cooperative’s novice support program provides leadership, support, and service to schools, and districts, so that every novice is prepared to help transform Arkansas to lead the nation in student-focused education. We are committed to providing quality service in a respectful, effective, and professional manner. We also believe in administering agency programs and services with integrity, honesty, and transparency. Our ultimate goal is to mentor and recruit in such a way as to stabilize the mobility of teachers from South Arkansas to other areas of the state. South Central Service Cooperative provides mentoring support for all novice teachers in our region. We work collaboratively with ADE, area colleges, ERZs, and other educational organizations to provide a three-year comprehensive support system for novice teachers. Ed Reflect, BloomBoard, and Zoom will be used to provide novice teacher and specialist a
platform for virtual coaching using the video observation template.
