P-4 Special Education – Inclusive

South Central Service Cooperative will be hiring a teacher who is licensed to teach early childhood special education for the 2019-20 school year.  This teacher will be assigned as an itinerant teacher for children ages 3-5 years.  Itinerant instruction will be provided to children who require developmental assistance in daycares, homes, and preschool settings. Part-time Speech Language Therapist

South Central Service Cooperative will be hiring a part-time speech-language therapist who is licensed by the state of Arkansas. Licensure must include the following:

  1. Hold a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a college/university training program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA);

  2. Hold a valid, current license as a speech-language pathologist issued by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) or the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA);

  3. Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SP) from ASHA; 

  4. Be familiar with Medicaid guidelines and hold a NPI #.

  This therapist will be assigned in Union County and serve children ages 3-5 years.  Therapy will be provided to children who require developmental assistance in daycares, homes, and preschool settings. Interested therapists may apply by following the instructions below.

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

South Central Service Cooperative will be hiring a full-time speech-language therapist assistant.  Requirements must include the following:

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or in Communication
    Disorders from an accredited college/university program OR complete a speech-language pathology assistant training program culminating in an Associate’s Degree from an institution accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE).
  2. Be willing to attend SLPA training at Dawson Education Service Cooperative in
    Arkadelphia with their supervising SLP in late August.
  3. Meet continuing education requirements of ten (10) clock hours annually pertaining to the designation duties of the SLPA
  4. Be fingerprinted and receive a satisfactory criminal background check and a
    satisfactory child maltreatment registry check.

This therapist will be assigned in Ouachita County and serve children ages 3-5 years.  Therapy will be provided to children who require developmental assistance in daycares, homes, and preschool settings. Interested parties may apply by following the instructions below.
